Biography
TANAKA Nozomi was born in 1989.
Doctor of Art & Design / Artist / Lecturer,Department of Design for Social System and Living Environment Faculty of Life Design (from April 2023).
She conducts fieldwork from an artistic approach to place, which consists of the environment and its context surrounding daily life, including food, clothing, and shelter, and expresses questions that arise on site. In her research, she studies site-specific expressions in local art projects and expressions that emerge in relation to the local place-ness (culture, history, and people). She also analyzes and practices the relationship between community development and art in terms of creative activities in the community.

研究のキーワード：場所性の芸術、コレクティブ・アート、プロジェクトデザイン。
衣食住をはじめとした暮らしを取り巻く環境とそのコンテクストからなる場所placeを対象に、芸術的アプローチからフィールドワークを行い、現場で生じた問いを表現する。研究では、地域のアートプロジェクトにおけるサイトスペシフィカルな表現、地域の場所性(文化や歴史、人々)との関係性の中で立ち現れる表現について研究している。また、まちづくりとアートの関係について、地域における創造活動の面から分析、実践している。芸術工学会会員、みやぎ在来作物研究会。

place-ness art
It is a theory of production that takes an artistic approach to “place” as a cultural domain, and is one of the genres of art. It covers a complex range of areas, including people’s lives and the environment surrounding them, social phenomena, geography, and history.
場所性の芸術
文化的領域としての「場所 place」へ芸術的にアプローチする制作理論であり、アートのジャンルの一つ。サイトスペシフィックアートや地域アートに近く、人々の暮らしやそれをとりまく環境、社会現象、地理、歴史など、複合的な領域にまたがる。
